The GA Dome has parking and should be open and available all day. Keep in mind that the dome, GA world congress center, and Phillips arena (Thrashers/Hawks) are all right there together. 2 or 3 things going on at 1 time can really make matters bad for drivers.
Or, just like any large city there are numerous parking lots quite close to the dome you can use on a daily basis.
Another idea is to park in a MARTA lot on the outskirts of town and ride the train to the dome. MARTA has a stop right at the dome and really cuts down on the time spent in traffic following a game. Many MARTA lots are totally free while other of thier lots cost, I think, $3/day. -Limo Atlanta-
